Edward Newgate – Whitebeard
Whitebeard was one of the Four Emperors, the most powerful pirates in the world. He was known for his immense strength and his ability to create earthquakes with his Devil Fruit power. Whitebeard was highly respected by his crew and was considered a father figure to many of his subordinates.
Shiki the Golden Lion
Shiki was a legendary pirate who was known for his immense power and his relationship with Roger. He was considered one of the strongest pirates in the world and was feared by many. Shiki was also the first pirate to escape from Impel Down, the most secure prison in the world.
Monkey D. Garp
Garp is a Vice-Admiral in the Navy and is the grandfather of Luffy. He was a renowned pirate during his time, known for his strength and his rivalry with Roger. Despite his position in the Navy, Garp has a close relationship with his grandson and has even helped him on occasion.
Silvers Rayleigh
Gol D. Roger’s first mate and a well-known pirate in his own right was Rayleigh. He had a reputation for being incredibly strong and being an expert with Haki, a rare ability that lets its user feel and control their environment. Throughout their stay in the Sabaody Archipelago, Rayleigh assisted Luffy and his crew, and he has since become a mentor to Luffy.
Sengoku the Buddha
Sengoku was a Fleet Admiral in the Navy and one of the strongest Marines of his time. He was known for his ability to transform into a giant Buddha statue and his use of Haki. Sengoku was involved in many of the major events in the One Piece world, including the execution of Gol D. Roger and the Battle of Marineford.
Dracule Mihawk
Mihawk was known as the “Greatest Swordsman in the World” and was a former member of the Shichibukai. He was a master swordsman and was feared by many. Mihawk was also a mentor to Zoro, one of the members of Luffy’s crew, and helped him to become a better swordsman.
Kaido of the Beasts
One of the Four Emperors, Kaido is renowned for both his superhuman strength and his capacity to change into a dragon. He is also well-known for having suicidal tendencies because he has often tried to kill himself.
Charlotte Linlin – Big Mom
Big Mom is one of the Four Emperors and the captain of the Big Mom Pirates. She is known for her incredible strength and her ability to control souls with her Devil Fruit power. Big Mom is also notorious for her obsession with sweets and her extreme mood swings.
The old generation pirates in One Piece are a crucial part of the series’ lore and backstory. They were the predecessors to the current generation of pirates and were responsible for shaping the world of One Piece as we know it.
